Romeo and Juliet

Romeo Juliet: the innovative handlebar system with push & pull mechanism, premiered in 2016 BIG5 Dubai, will be presented in Italy in the upcoming exhibitions scheduled in Meroni calendar.

Before today, there was no push&pull handlebar. The mechanism of the classic “Pigio” knob now adapted in an innovative handlebar plus handle system, is the result of the teamwork between Meroni - in charge of the basic mechanics of the lock - and the Architect Ariberto Colombo, designer of the new system components

Romeo is based on the proven mechanics of the knob “Pigio”, readjusted and integrated into a handlebar, no longer passive but active. Whereas Juliet is a restyling of “Pigio”, in a version finished with higher quality materials.

The components of Romeo-Juliet are made of wood (eg. walnut, oak, cherry), Corian (*), with metal or leather covered finishing. The idea comes from the request of a client who has stimulated the research for a push & pull device coupled to a handlebar.
